The government are being urged to use the latest budget to do more for pensioners struggling with increased debt.
Age Concern believe the government must take specific actions to help the elderly, such as increasing the winter fuel allowance and reviewing the Pension Credit to ensure it is inline with the growing cost of living.
Research from the group has found that one in ten elderly people have been forced into debt as a result of the poor economic climate in the UK.
