UK consumers need to take more responsibilty when it comes to their debt management plans and not just expect their bank to come up with the answers.
That's the view of Thomas Charles, who say that Brits need to examine their own finances and see where they can make cuts backs to pay off their debts.
James Falla, director of the group recognised that banks had a role to play in debt management but said consumers need to do more themselves.
He commented, "Ultimately, once you know what's going in and what's coming out, the bank can't help you manage that budget - it's your own personal responsibility."
